Gethin Huckle - CFO

Gethin joined CashWiz in 2012 during its initial expansion phase, assisting in raising $5 million in private funding to grow the business to 21 stores over the subsequent six years. During his tenure, he built the finance function from scratch, implementing a robust ERP-based reporting platform to strengthen financial controls, treasury functions, and daily financial reporting. In 2020, Gethin partnered with John Thedford to establish SMG, playing a pivotal role in securing $24 million in equity financing in 2021 to acquire the 21-store CashWiz group and an additional $84 million in debt and equity in 2022 for the 52-store La Familia group acquisition.

A graduate of Manchester University, UK, Gethin is also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (FCA) and holds a certificate of Executive and Financial Leadership from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. His previous roles include positions at Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young in the UK, Australia, and the Cayman Islands.
